Fingerprinting for Public School Employment Please follow these directions to complete the DOE Criminal History Record check process:
Part I: Criminal History Review (Background Check)
Prior to scheduling any fingerprinting appointment, you must provide the State of New Jersey with approval for them to conduct your background check. This can be done by visiting the Criminal History Review Unit’s website at http://www.nj.gov/education/educators/crimhist/ and select “File Authorization and Make Electronic Payment for Criminal History Record Check,” then select “New Administration Fee Request (Initial Applicants.)” You must then select one of the four options depending on your job position. There is a $10.00* online fee, and a $1.00* processing fee charged to your credit card by the State of New Jersey for this service.
You will need the following information:

After the administrative fee payment has been approved, you will be presented with three choices:
1. View and print your Applicant Authorization & Certification (AA&C) confirmation page.
2. Complete and print your IdentoGO NJ Universal Fingerprint Form (YOU MUST print this form.)
3. Schedule your MorphoTrust fingerprinting appointment.
Part II: Livescan Fingerprinting:
After you have visited the Criminal History Review Unit’s website to allow the State of New Jersey to run a background check, you will print your IdentoGO NJ Universal Fingerprint Form (which you will bring with you to your appointment.) You will then be taken to another screen to schedule your fingerprinting appointment with MorphoTrust. The State of New Jersey has partnered with MorthoTrust to provide livescan fingerprinting for individuals seeking public school employment. The cost for the livescan fingerprinting is $65.45*, and payable by credit/debit card. Payment is required at the time of scheduling. After both steps (Criminal History Review and actual MorphoTrust Fingerprinting) have been completed, you will receive a letter from the state approving you for public school employment, and must bring a copy of this letter to the Gibbsboro School office. Please remember, approval letters are only good for a maximum of five months.
