Supervisor’s Message

Thank you for your interest in the Gibbsboro School District Special Services Department. Our department offers a range of special education programs and services to address the needs of our students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. As the Supervisor of Special Services, it is my responsibility to oversee and ensure the delivery of special education and related services for all eligible students with disabilities as mandated by state and federal legislation.

Within the Special Services Department, our Child Study Team works closely with staff and students to identify, evaluate, and provide appropriate services for students with disabilities. In addition, the Child Study Team offers consultation and recommendations for general education students. Parents, staff, and students may work collaboratively with members of the team to determine appropriate supports to prevent and/or remediate the academic or behavioral difficulties a student may be experiencing. The Child Study Team includes a School Psychologist, a Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant (LDTC), and School Social Worker. For children ages 3-5, the Child Study Team also includes a Speech/Language Specialist.

I look forward to supporting our students by partnering with you and our staff to provide a safe and rewarding school year.  Please visit  our Special Services webpage for more information. Please feel free to contact our department with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Kristin Ternowyj, Ed.S., NCSP
