A Letter From the President

Dear Gibbsboro School Families and Staff,

Welcome back to all returning families and a big WELCOME to all new families. I am honored as well as excited to serve as your HSA president for the 2024-2025 school year.  The HSA will be hosting a variety of fundraisers and events throughout the year. You will be hearing more about these events as the year progresses. We welcome suggestions for new fundraisers and events. Please email us at hsa@gibbsboroschool.org.

Our mission is to coordinate the efforts of parents, teachers, staff members, students and community members to further enhance the academic education, character education, and recreational needs of Gibbsboro School through financial support. With the support of our school and community, we were able to raise over $19,000 this past school year. With the funds raised, the HSA was able to support our school community with over $16,000 in teacher requests. Some of the things the HSA funded include Lego Spike Robotics Kits, Lockers for 5th grade, character education tshirts for the entire school, sponsoring the author/illustrator Beth Ferry to present to our school, sponsoring the Eyes of the Wild assembly, and multiple teacher requests for STEM materials for classrooms. In addition, the HSA sponsors annual scholarships, Student and Staff Member of the Month awards, and teacher appreciation.

If you are looking for a way to get involved, we can help. Any amount of time you have is great. Meetings are usually held on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm, unless otherwise noted. Our meetings will be held in the school library. Babysitters will be available for potty-trained children.

Becoming a member of the HSA only costs $10.00 per family or staff member. Becoming a member does not obligate you to anything. Becoming a member gives you the benefit of voting on HSA issues and an opportunity to run for a position on the executive board. We are currently running our membership drive until October 31st. Please consider joining the HSA, just becoming a member supports our organization.

I would like to thank you in advance for all your support. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a wonderful, productive and fun school year. I look forward to seeing you at the monthly meetings and the events we have throughout the school year!

Sincerely,
Beth Schmidt
